This Kansas City rapper/hip hop artist, JayCee, has exceeded all expectations. He gives credit to his life experiences and has been using song writing as an escape since the age of six. Since then, JayCee has participated in the Kansas City Music Jam hosted by Anax Studios in March of 2016. He has also finished as a finalist in the Soul Lounge Open Mic Night and was "slapped" on Vegas, D.C.'s and KC’s “Slap It or Trash It Shows” in July 2017. After watching JayCee's Open Mic performance, Soul Lounge's owner stated he would "sign [JayCee] today" if he had a record label. After releasing his new single "Short Tale" on July 7th 2017, he has created quite the buzz. One week after the release, JayCee's Facebook following increased by 58% over night and it continues to grow rapidly.
