Biography I am Kateshia James. I was born in Detroit Michigan. I have always been very creative and unique to most people. Because of how unique I am I was often considered a weirdo. I always saw the beauty and things and a lot of people don't understand how. Creative expression is something that is a gift. Growing up on the west side of Detroit Michigan it was not easy but my mother made sure I didn't realize how hard it was. When I was a teenager it was as if I lived in a vacant home. My mother tried her hardest to take care of me when my siblings left the house. There was no water there was no heat there was no electricity and it was very cold. But we still lived as if none of that was going on. I got very strong from carrying three jugs of water and each hand from the neighbor's house. My mother and I had to use an extension cord from the house next door in order to have electricity which was only enough to either plug the TV the heater or the microwave. She did the best she could and even though we was in that situation I will still happy with who I was. I was not embarrassed that I did not have things that the other kids had. I simply lived my life with gratitude then and I still live my life in gratitude now. As a child my mother used to buy me drawing books and ballet books I wanted to be a great gymnastics leader. I went a different direction and I did not keep up with the skills that I had. It was not until I had to teach my own children during covid that I rediscovered the passion for art. It all started on Easter when I was doing crafts with my children I decided to draw them a Easter bunny they could color. I had no idea the Easter Bunny was going to look exactly like the pictures and it gave me excitement. From that point on I started trying other things like Goku and anime. I truly truly fell in love with this part of myself that I had no idea had been buried so deep inside of me. Creative artistry is such a wide perspective. To bring something out of nothing is what it's about. During all of my hardest times God has been with me every step of the way. There are a lot of things that happens that we can't explain and that's because it's a blessing from God. When God got your back certain things don't need to be explained and you have to have faith and walk in faith wholeheartedly. So I want to implement my spiritual beliefs inside of Create with KEE. There are a lot of people out there who had some struggles like mine and worst struggles like mine. I want women and men everywhere to grow up and feel like they are enough to achieve whatever goal they have in their mind. We do not have to be with our family wants to shape and mold us to be. We choose our own destiny we do not walk in the light of someone else we go through the darkness to find our own light. With confidence and we know we going to be okay.
