Topdown originally started as just an idea. It was the embodiment and catalyst for the irony, hypocrisy, and contradictions in life. But as time grew it became so much more. It became as much a part of me as anything. I had always a passion for writing, philosophy, etc. And music had always been my greatest love, but I was never sure how I was able to connect them. When I entered high school I deep dived into hip-hop, from expiremntal, to conscious, to contemporary, to old school. There I discovered and witnessed a spark. And it was then when I realized that that.. music, was the only thing I wanted to do. To understand the world and be understood. To create something that connects on a real level. To create something someone could listen to whenever their angry, sad, happy, when they're going through anything. And to inspire like I had been. Music became me and me it. I don't know what life holds but I know the only path that I want to take. -Topdown
