Starrtastic Starr Starrtastic Starr was born Dwanda La’Shay Evans on May 16,1986 in St. Louis Missouri to Floretta Williams and Dwayne Q Shelton Sr. Growing up in a household of music with her mother being apart of a rap group named Dynamite and her father being a professional musician, Starr was singing and performing at church functions by the age of 6. Being around so many different genres of music her passion for music grew over the years and by the age of 12 Starr started making her own music. With the versatility of her father being able to play 27 instruments and the vocals of various blues as well as R&B singers, Starr was destined to express of love of music with the ones closest to her. “I entertain on many different styles of rap such as hardcore, comical, sentimental storytelling, old school hip hop, rap battle, freestyle and I’m able to collaborate other genres R&B Country and rock n roll.” “I mostly pay my respect to God and all the female rappers and singer before me rap R&B, Blues and country. They all touched me in a special way individually and played a role in who I am as an artist and how I create my craft. My father who is simply amazing to me with his grind and passion for music. and most of all the women who went through the struggle and overcame it they inspire me to make some of the music I put out because I can relate to them.” Throughout the course of her music career Starrtastic Starr has performed in various cities with the largest crowd being over 10,000 people. This cities include Memphis, Texas, Colorado, Mississippi, Chicago, East St. Louis Illinois and her new home of Atlanta Ga, opening up for artist such as Lil Webbie,Trina, Yo Gotti, Nelly Young Joc, Juvenille, Shawty Lo and many more.
