Hard Knock Or Not was founded in 2008. The group released their first mixtape, The Green Zone, in 2010, and their second, The Agency, in 2012. In 2014, the group began recording their first completely original EP, which they named “Hard Knock Individuals EP.” The group formed as a way for the members to focus their energy in music, in an effort to stay off the streets in the area of Philadelphia where they grew up, where the drug culture was rampant. Hard Knock Or Not aspires to change the face of hip-hop, and create fast-paced, interesting music that has a mainstream appeal, but focuses mainly on keeping a positive attitude, having a healthy lifestyle, and working hard to accomplish your dreams.
